I'm excited about this recipe, made it tonight, couldn't believe that I should cook the peas 15 minutes only, but did, and they were wonderful! Not the usual soft dried beans (peas), but a whole different other thing. Who knew?
I made this recipe tonight. First let me say that it was WONDERFUL, but have to admit that I was left with some questions regarding the instructions. After cooking the peas are you supposed to drain them before adding or not? Also, are you supposed to cook the seeds for a while before adding the tomato or not?
I ended up draining the peas most of the way leaving about 3/4 of a cup of liquid. I did not have cumin seeds but the flavor of this recipe even without them I found it outstanding. I did end up using double the coconut milk as I wanted it saucy. I would make it again. I look forward to seeing some of your other recipes. Thank you for posting it.
