I prefer live plants over the soon to be dead flowers :) Now, my biggest task is to save those lovely plants from Chipmunks and squirrels that proudly shares my patio! Please let me know what you usually do to save your plants from those lil fellas ?
Ingredients:
Puff pastry sheets
Spinach - 1cup
Onion diced- 1/4 cup
Yellow Bell pepper diced - 1/4 cup
Black pepper powder- 1 tbsp
Salt- pinch
Cheese of your choice - 1/2 cup
Eggs- 2
Preparation:
Mix the onions, spinach, cumin, salt together, beat the eggs together and gently fold in to the mixture.
Spread the puff sheets in a greased souffle pan, Add the filling and close the four ends of the sheets.
Pre-heat the oven to 350F and bake for 30 mins or till it turns golden brown.
Congratulations Ann on your Anniversary :)
ReplyDeleteThe souffle looks so delicious, I have tried them at Panera Bread .. yours has come out too good. Let me try once at home .... and regarding the squirells ... you can use just a spray or a powder which is available to keep those bunnies/squirrels and others in the backyard away from the plants... they don't come passing that... one appln is good enough for 2 months :)
Thanks Padma :)
ReplyDeletePanera bread souffles are sooo good, I love it :)

ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have problems with rascally squirrels but the wild rabbits love to nibble in the garden. I raise up all my plants for an elevated garden. It takes a bit of work but pays off in the long run.
Your souffle looks great!
Happy Anniversary! Souffle looks yum! No tips on saving the plants though as i'm the worst when it comes to gardening :D

ReplyDeleteBelated wishes Ann-what a way to start the day!!
ReplyDeleteI have heard that sprinkling hot pepper flakes on the soil helps keep squirrels away. I can't speak from any personal experience though.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! I liked the title - Mr & Mrs Souffle - too cute! I agree about liking live plants over soon-to-be-trashed ones. Unfortunately, no squirrels or chipmunks here to speak of -- I've heard how much trouble they cause in a garden!

Happy anniversary dear. Ur thoughts on live plants is very lovely. I m sure u r a sweet person to do something green to this planet.
ReplyDeleteWhat I do is.... just feed the squirrels with groundnut n bread:) So they dont meddle with my plants. But mint leaves are always taken gracefully by some small birds...Think they love u too much:)

ReplyDeleteOh. A souffle... Lucky man! I've seen people put like wire cages around plants to keep out pests, but squirrels are super clever. Maybe there's a spray. Hopefully it won't hurt the little guys, though. Lovely blog. Great recipe ideas.
